December 2025 Monthly Report

In January 2026, Voice of Animal Nepal continued rescuing and treating injured and sick street animals. Many of the cases were serious, including accident victims and very young puppies. Our team worked daily to provide emergency treatment, shelter care, and field-based veterinary support.

Rescue & Treatment

  • Rescued several injured dogs and puppies from different areas.
  • Provided emergency treatment to accident cases, wounded animals, and weak puppies.
  • Continued long-term treatment for animals rescued in previous months.

Shelter Update

This month, some puppies in our shelter were infected with parvo virus. Sadly, we lost one puppy despite treatment. To protect other animals:

  • We limited new shelter admissions for some time.
  • We followed strict cleaning and isolation measures.
  • Many cases were treated in the field to reduce disease risk inside the shelter.

Vaccination & Preventive Care

  • Rabies vaccination and basic health care were provided to community dogs when possible.
  • Follow-up care was given to previously treated and sterilized dogs.

Challenges

  • High medical costs for emergency and critical cases
  • Limited space and isolation facilities in the shelter
  • Shortage of funds to meet growing rescue needs

Our Plan Ahead

In the coming months, we aim to:

  • Improve hygiene and isolation facilities at the shelter
  • Continue rescue and treatment services
  • Strengthen vaccination and preventive care programs
